Golden Queen Fast Boat departs daily from Padang Bai harbor in east Bali to the Gili islands and stop over at Senggigi, Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Bangsal before returning to Padang Bai. For the ferry route from Bali to Nusa Penida the boat departs from Sanur, additionally there is also a route to Nusa Penida from Padang Bai.
US Nusa penida, this island is also separated by the Badung Strait from the main island. Nusa Lembongan is only about 2 km northwest of Penida. Therefore, just like getting to Penida, you need to cross the sea, you have to use the same transportation to get to Nusa Lembongan. You can rent a fast boat to go to the island.
If you must go to Gili T then book on the north or west / south west side of the island - the strip on the east near where the boats come in is a hot mess. Gili Air may be more your style - very chilled, good snorkelling/diving and not chock full of idiots on pushbikes who can't cycle worth a damn. 1. ryanstrek.

What are your interests & how much time have you got? Gili T has it all, diving, partying, snorkelling, restaurants. You can easily get out to visit the other islands while your there. Nusa Lembongan I've been told is more laid back, also offering great diving & snorkelling. I have not been to Nusa Lembongan so can only really recommend the Gili's.

While the boat trip to Nusa Lembongan is nowhere near as bad as the journey to the Gili Islands , you might still want to check out our seasickness guide for fast boats in Bali .
