hi ppl back again!! this time round its my heating!! before it started to become winter my heating didnt seam to be getting hot and slowly now has gone all together. it just blows freezing air and is extreamly dangerous coz my windows steam up and i cant see!. could it be sumthing to do with I have a 1.4 Grande Punto Active, this morning when I started my car, I got a "CANCHECK" message on the radio/CD display panel. The ABS light, City Power Steering, Airbag and some other lights were also on. I also noticed that the indicators were not working as well as the headlamps and the speedo meter, petrol meter,heat gauge and rev counter. 2. Apr 9, 2022. #9. I have the same issue with a 99 fiat punto. The speedometer cable turns, it makes terrible noises (and I've seen it turning) however it doesn't stay in place into the bell-shaped plastic behind the counter. The length is good, I can pull the cable with a small plier, and it had worked a little bit when installed. 13. Dec 30, 2009. #1. My fiat punto screen washers appear to have stopped working. At first I thought the water bottle was empty as the motor was heard but no water came out, but I didnt need much water to fill it up so that wasnt the problem. The washer motor was making a noise when i pulled or puched the lever but only a very slow trickle To fix this i took the fan out (3 simple screws and one piece of ducting). Removed the cable connector. On the fan there are two male connectors - gave these a small twist so that they were slightly off line. This then required the connector to be a very tight fit when attached to the fan unit. It’d be worth popping that unit out to check that everything is connected to what it should be connected to. At best, you may find the fan issue to be originating from that unit, at worst, you’ll be able to figure out what is making the direction controls tough to turn (and hopefully fix them). Here is the link to the info you need from the guide section,my speed switch became stiff to turn when I removed the facia I unscrewed the switch, inside there is a simple spring/ball bearing setup I lubed the area. the ball bearing went with lituim grease & it's been fine since. Hello. My 2002 punto's horn has stopped working. Had the car for about 6 months when the horn stopped working. Been fine without one but MOT's up soon and ned it fixed. The horn works when in another car or connected to the battery. We have checked the fuse, relay and switch in the steering column and they are seem to be working fine. A3LZ8.
